CAIF Advisory aims to provide financial services that are in accordance with Shariah and Islamic principles. These principles include the prohibition of interest, gambling, speculation, unethical practices and injustice. CAIF Advisory can support the Caribbean market to offer alternative financial products and services that are not available in conventional finance, such as mudarabah (profit-sharing) and musharakah (joint venture) contracts. These products can provide investors, whether Muslim or not, with unique opportunities for diversification and risk management. Islamic finance can play a role in promoting economic development in the Caribbean by providing access for Shariah-compliant businesses to contribute to the economy.
